Moving Your Plants

Plants help the world go round and now it’s time to move yours. So what do you do? These oxygen makers need special attention during your upcoming move with Boca Raton Local Movers. And if you’re moving your beloved herb garden, that Ficus tree, or those beautiful flowers there are a few things to keep in mind to help keep your plants happy and healthy throughout the move.

Move your plants, yourself!

Boca Raton Local Movers can move your plants for you, but if you’re doing a long distance move we recommend that you move your plants in your own vehicle. We recommend this if your move will take more than a day. This will ensure that they will have the water needed to survive.

Plants may be able to survive for somewhere around ten days without water. If you won’t be able to water them for that time, make the soil in the pot extra moist.

For a local move in Boca Raton or surrounding areas, we also want to remind you that plants are very sensitive to temperature. Most household plants will not survive in less than 30 degree over 100 degree weather. If you’re moving during the summer we recommend that you keep your plants in a well ventilated or air conditioned car or truck.

Finally, if you don’t have space for all of your beloved plants, bring along some cuttings from them. Keep these in a plastic bag with peat moss or saturated vermiculite.

Wishing you… and your plants a great move in or out of Boca Raton,
